Churchill Downs
The first race of the “Triple Crown”, the Kentucky Derby, is held at Churchill Downs every year. Bill Lopa is a regular at the Derby now, painting live during the race and auctioning his art at the famed Mint Jubilee charity gala the night before. This piece was painted LIVE during the 2006 Kentucky Derby.
Three editions were created from the original: the AROC (20 pieces), Deluxe (20 pieces), and Regular (100 pieces).
