Secretariat II
This is the second piece Lopa created on one of the most famous horses of all time. This image depicts Secretariat (Triple Crown Winner) charging the finish line from a forward angle. Every year, Lopa attends the Kentucky Derby which gives him the inspiration and motivation for creating pieces to honor the Triple Crown Winners. He hopes that in the years to come, he will be able to paint the first Triple Crown Winner of the 21st century, being that the last one was in 1978. These particular editions were signed and inscribed “1973 Triple Crown Winner” by Secretariat’s jockey, Ron Turcotte.
Two editions were created from the original: AROC (20 pieces) and Deluxe (20 pieces). Both editions were signed and inscribed by jockey Ron Turcotte.
